It's 3am. Lights off. The house is making that noise it only makes at 3am. Then something on your screen starts getting closer.

In a moment like that, you think about one person. The friend you wish were here.

Starbucks came to us with a 1-for-1 deal for Halloween, and we knew exactly who the second drink was for. So we made tiny horror films, shot from your point of view, and posted them late at night. Each one left you with one thing to do: tag that friend.

And people did. Their friends tagged theirs. Within five hours, 19,000 people were creeped out, and not one view was paid for.

People like a good deal. They like a good scare more.

P.S.I love horror stories. They don't love me back. It sounded fun until I wrote the scripts. Then I had to watch them.
