Give a kid a box of LEGO, and they'll build something that has never existed.
Give a grown-up the same box, and they'll look for the instructions.
Most parents have been handed one of these creations. They say it's amazing. Mostly, they mean it. Then it goes on the shelf.
We took one off the shelf. Kids at a playgroup had built a Candy Cloud. A team of aeronautical engineers got one instruction: make it real.
They did. It rained candy.
The kids couldn't believe it. The parents stood there a little longer.
P.S.I've played with LEGO my whole life. Whatever age I am, I'm about seven while I'm building.
